George Bush: The Unsuccessful Fascist

Looking at the results of the USA midterm elections I found myself wondering whether Bush is still Hitler? I mean Hitler was not in the habit of losing elections. (In fact, as David Janes pointed out to me on the weekend, he was in the habit of holding plebiscites on a whole variety of things and letting them run fairly. He just wasn't in the habit of letting anyone vote on his tenure as the top dog.) What kind of Nazi lets the other side win? Is he so stupid that he can't even be a good dictator? That freaking moron! Where the hell was Karl Rove?

Apparently, I am not the only one asking these questions. Jim Treacher is all over it. Here is one of the comments to Treacher's post:

I am pretty surprised myself. I thought we were supposed to be running a highly efficient fascist regime here. And now, we can't even win an election? I mean, I've read all the research. What happened with suspending the electoral process? Why is constitution still in effect? What about our plans to declare martial law? Suspend Congress? We are doing none of it. And I was looking forward to coronation, too. :( Bummer.
