NFLD Premier Supports Election Fraud

Danny Williams thinks that Newfoundland MPs who vote against the budget are actually voting against the Atalntic Accord and should be punished:

Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams wants all of the province's MPs to vote for the federal budget.

That will put pressure on the province's two Conservative MPs, Loyola Hearn and Norm Doyle, chairman of the Tory caucus. The rest of the province's four MPs are Liberals and the riding of Labrador has been vacant since the death of Liberal MP Lawrence O'Brien in December.

The premier says that voting against the federal budget will be a conscious decision to vote against the revamped Atlantic Accord, signed last February, which is expected to bring an additional $2.6 billion to provincial coffers over the next eight years.

What he really means is that his government is under massive pressure over the crab fishery and he needs to create a distraction. Or at least he must mean this because it seems unlikely that the Premier would be supporting election fraud. He had ample opportunity to take down the flags until Paul Martin seperated the Atlantic Accord provisions from the budget bill. hear my podcast at BlogMatrix

I cannot believe how far danny williams has gone.In my opinion mr williams has gone to far this time. Its the people of nl that are going to be affected by all of this .Mr williams is a rich man so he feels he can go and speak for all newfoundlanders.Mr.Hearn & MR.Manning have done and are continuing to do there best for nl.How dare mr williams tell them what to do.When he gave away seal coats to kline and his wife, what did that do for our province. All i see from mr Williams is talk and is just going to cause more problems for the people in nl.Why is mr williams not doing something constructive to keep young men and women in there own province instead of shouting about what he did or did not get.Since he became premier i have seen very little done by him ,only talk.Lets get to work with what we have been given and stop all the shouting for attention. Its time for Mr Williams to have some dialogue with mr harper, hearn and ManningIs it no wonder why so many of us hate politicans because all we ever hear is talk and very little action.Today nfld is worse off then ever it was so far MR williams has done very little.Eileen Voisin

people leaving the province is a symptom of a problem and that problem is the political use of resources. NF has suffered from government regulation of resources since the West Country merchants gained control of the fishery. Still, the good people of NF continually vote for more government control over the economy so I don't see things changing for the better.
